Wiltshire Focuses on School Safety in New Ad
Wiltshire campaign continues strong momentum
NASHVILLE, TN– Today, affordable housing leader, Matt Wiltshire, released a new television ad, “Hope and Worry”. The ad focuses on school safety, and follows Wiltshire’s previous ad, “First Day”, which focused on public education. The ad, which began running on network television today, makes Wiltshire the first candidate to address the critical issue of school safety through paid media.
Both school safety and public education more broadly, are important themes for Wiltshire, who has deep community ties as an MNPS graduate. Wiltshire also served on the PTO at Hillsboro High School where his oldest son graduated last year.
The Wiltshire campaign continues to build momentum. Earlier this week Wiltshire earned the endorsement of the Fraternal Order of Police, which came just a week after a coalition of sixteen current and former Metro Councilmembers endorsed his campaign. Recent polling shows Wiltshire has moved into a statistical tie for first shortly after beginning television advertising. Power Poll voters also recently expressed overwhelmingly that they believe Wiltshire will advance to the runoff.
“This year, Nashville parents will be thinking about school safety, like never before,” said Matt Wiltshire. “I believe we can make MNPS the best public school system in America, and having safe schools is a key component of achieving that vision.
The spots will run on all major Nashville network stations.
